Tomorrow, is New Year's Eve and we have a special evening planned with friends! We wanted to take it easy this year, but were invited to bring in the new year at a nice venue, so we agreed. It will be nice to dress up and go out. I'll just wear something already in the closet because it's not worth a few stamps to buy a new outfit! I know you all understand where I am coming from out there! I hope you all get to celebrate the new year in a special way as well, whether it be going to church (as I used to do for years), spending with family, or attending an event/party. Since our going to church days, we have started sayings for each new year. So, this year's saying is: Everything is Devine in 2009! Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow with a card to share, but if I do not, have a devine 2009! This frame came out better than I envisioned. The polka dots look better in person than my poor photograph. I used to dislike those stickers, but they come in handy for alterable projects, especially if you do not have a lot of Disney products in your collection. So, always remember you can make your own custom frame and not spend an arm and a leg on the official Disney ones! To make this frame: - Paint wood frame with acrylic paint and let dry.
- Stamp polka dot background on the top half portion and apply embossing powder and heat.
- Add Mickey Mouse stickers.
- Tie ribbons around frame and adhere.
- Add hat pin.

It's Monday and a new week! It's still the holidays, so I'm not sure if I'll be back into the swing of things just yet, but I'll sure try. I spent most of yesterday organizing my studio, but have a few more ideas and areas of improvement. One of my biggest ideas I want to do by next weekend is re-organizing my file cabinets to actually use them. I want to organize my cardstocks to place scraps in there to easily find. I might keep the new pieces of cardstock on my paper shelf organizer in the closet, but I need better organization of the scraps when I need to find them and to encourage re-use and discourage waste. I'll let you know how this goes and if I have any good organizational tips! This card is inspired by Loonie Stamper's Challenge from last week. With the holidays, I was unable to participate, so I did it yesterday. I really like these colors and they scream BABY GIRL to me, so that's what I did! I used a layout I previously did on the " Grateful" card that I LOVE! It seems the cards I like, most others don't and the cards I don't like, most others like. I think that's weird, but in the end, it's just fun making them! To make this card: - Take a pre-scored card base and set aside.
- Stamp baby carriage on pink cardstock with brown ink, cut out and set aside.
- Trim brown cardstock to fit baby carriage on it.
- Trim kraft cardstock slightly larger than brown cardstock, but much longer for the ribbon.
- Adhere baby carriage to brown cardstock.
- Adhere brown cardstock to kraft cardstock.
- Tie pink ribbon around kraft cardstock and tie into a bow.
- Adhere kraft cardstock to card base use dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment below kraft cardstock in brown ink.
- Add pink rhinestones to the baby carriage and sentiment.

It's the day after Christmas and time for some shopping. The LSS in Greensboro is having a sale and I'm also going to check out a new store and crop with a new scrapbooking friend! Today, I'm sharing my gift to most this year. It included a gift box (from Archiver's) and 5 cards with various sentiments and vanilla envelopes (all from Archiver's). I used Papertrey Ink's Ripe Avocado cardstock and embossed it with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, then corner-rounded the edges. Papertrey Ink's Piece of Cake stamp set has a curly label stamp that I used and cut out to include the sentiments. The sentiments were from various stamp sets by Papertrey Ink, Close to My Heart, and Verve Visual. I wrapped brown ribbon around the green cardstock and popped the curly label off of the center. These sets were a big hit this Christmas! Oh yeah, that nice green ribbon on the outer box is by Paper Source, but Archiver's now carries it too! :: My Goodies {Greeting Cards}::Stamps: Papertrey Ink-Piece of Cake (curly label); Sentiments by Papertrey Ink, Verve Visual, Cloe to My Heart Ink: SU!-Chocolate Chip Cardstock: Papertrey Ink-ripe avocado, dark chocolate, vanilla Accessories: swiss dots embossing folder; cuttlebug; dimensionals; corner rounder; SU!-chocolate chip ribbon; Paper Source-green satin ribbon; Creative Memories-tag punch; A7 pre-scored cards + card box by Archiver's Card Size: 4.25 x 5.5
Merry Christmas everyone! Here are a few 2-5-7-10 boxes I made to package some small gifts. Some were already opened and people loved them! They were fairly easy to make with 1-8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock and my scor-pal. Use your favorite background design stamp and adhere. Here's how to make them: - Follow Jenn Balcer's tutorial on Splitcoast.
- The only step I altered was stamping after the cuts were made.
I hope you enjoy your Christmas and please be safe! Tomorrow, I'll share some card sets given as gifts that were a true 'hit' this holiday! Don't forget to enter the blog candy by tonight before midnight EST! My Goodies Stamps: Papertrey Ink-Silent Night; Stars Background Basics; Winter Wishes Cardstocks: Papertrey Ink-Dark Chocolate; Spring Moss; Ocean Tide; Ripe Avocado; Pure Poppy; White; Berry SorbetRibbon: Red; Martha StewartPunch: Giga snowflake; scallop edge Stickles: liquid pearls white; cinnamon; red; platinum; gold
It's Christmas Eve and I wanted to share some quick and easy gift card holders (made by Stampin' Up!). To create these gift card holders, just stamp the design on the top flap, then the sentiment. Next, tie the ribbon around the top flap and into a bow. I also stamped the envelope to match! You can use this same simple design for any occasion by changing the sentiment to "Happy Birthday" or "Happy Anniversary" or "With Sympathy." Papertrey Ink's polka dot basics are a "must-have" in any stampers collection. I'll confess that I resisted in purchasing this set because I owned the SU! polka dot background stamp and the Art Warehouse Limited Edition journaling stamp set with a smaller polka dot stamp. However, after seeing the design team's creations over time, I knew I had to purchase it. It is like no other. You can easily align the stamps to create your polka dot background pattern without using a stamp-a-ma-jig. I thought I would have to use the alignment system, but PTI makes the stamps so you can overlap the pattern easily as opposed to aligning it up to the last stamped portion. There are all kinds of polka dots in the set from small to large and open and closed. Have a great Christmas Eve! I'll post some other small box designs tomorrow! Don't forget to enter the holiday blog candy contest by tomorrow night, if you haven't already! Thanks to all of you who have entered. It makes me feel really special this holiday season to receive all these postings. Happy Holidays to each of you and remember the reason for the season. :: My Goodies {Merry Christmas gift card holder} :: Stamps: PTI-polka dot basics; silent night Ink: SU!- Kiwi Kiss; Chocolate Chip Accessories: SU! gift card holders Technique: Stamped

I know...I know...I said I was not going to post, but I couldn't resist sharing more good news...and a card I forgot to post or did I?! Nichole Heady selected my card as December's Guest Star Stamper for Best Masculine Card! YAAAAY! Masculine cards are the most difficult cards to make sometimes, so it was a true challenge. I'm so excited about winning and feel like Christmas is already here. So, please go by the Papertrey Ink forum and see all of the submissions! By the way, the forum is 'acting up' so you may not be able to access it today, but try again through the holidays! I plan to have a blog candy give-a-way during next week. So, please be sure to check back soon to find out what goodies I are on the blog candy list. It will be a Christmas Day give-a-way/drawing! Let's just say someone's Christmas will be extra special with some paper craft supplies! Oh yeah, check out Mac's blog...wish everyone happy holidays. I'm the 'model' and decorated the box with a simple green satin ribbon from Paper Source; the box is from Papertrey Ink! OK...back to making some gifts! Thank you for all of your supportive and encouraging comments and e-mails on my recent news! You all are the greatest! To make this card: - Make card base by trimming brown cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then scoring at 5.5".
- Trim blue cardstock into a square to center on card base; ink around the edges.
- Trim kraft cardstock into a square to fit the center of the blue cardstock.
- Using a stamp-a-ma-jig, stamp around the edges of the kraft cardstock with the border {link} stamp. TIP: Make sure you only ink the portion of the border stamp that you need to prent from over-stamping on a part of the cardstock you do not want to stamp on. Also, overlap a link to get a continuous frame effect. Take your time!
- Stamp sentiment inside of the frame on the draft cardstock, then ink around the edges and adhere it to the blue square.
- Using a circle punch, create a circle out of white cardstock and ink around the edges (lightly).
- Stamp sailboat on brown and blue cardstocks and heat emboss with clear embossing powder and cut out.
- Adhere sailboat to the cirle with dimensionals.
- Add a small piece of ribbon to the left side of the sailboat underneath the circle.
- Pop the circle off of the squares/card base.

Hi everyone! It's Thursday and the week is almost over...YAAAAY! It's only one week until Christmas! I'm sorry I do not have any projects to share with you today, only some great news! Last night, I received an e-mail from one of the Paper Crafts editors that they selected 7 cards to be published in next year's Card Creations 7 magazine! I was so excited! There will actually only be 6 cards published because one of the cards was picked up by another magazine already. This is a great Christmas gift in itself. I'm truly blessed of how my 'hobby' has turned into something much more. You can purchase this year's Card Creations 6 magazine (pictured above) here. They feature cards for any and all occasions, so it's a must-have in your magazine collection! Card Creations 7 magazine goes on sale June 23, 2009, but I'll be sure to remind you next year! I'm not planning on many posts through next week because it's the holidays and I think we should spend our time with our family and friends, instead of glued to the computer as I always am! However, the real reason why is because I'm going to try to create more Christmas gifts over the next few days and I'm running out of time! I might peek in next week here or there with a picture or a brief card, but don't hold me to it! I hope I can get some things done. I have one problem though, my printer broke - one day after I finished those over 200 cards! I'm so glad it didn't do that in the middle! So, I'm probably going to have to purchase a new printer (yaaaaaay) and then get the ball rolling again. I'll definitely be back to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, but until then be safe in your travels and shopping and have a wonderful time this weekend!
I'm posting tonight for K. Werner's color challenge. When I saw the inspiration photo, my jaw dropped! I really like Anthropologie, so I was not surprised when I found out the sweater was from there! That store is so comfortable and unique. They have everything from accessories to home goods. I walked passed the store on Saturday and just glared in the windows vowing not to enter because it is the holiday season and I was trying to refrain from buying stuff for myself, which is very difficult to do when you're out and about shopping in the stores. Does anyone else have that problem too? So, if I don't know anyone who shops there or would like something from that store, my holiday shopping rule is "DO NOT ENTER!" These colors as so cute, but reminded me of a masculine look, well in my head at the moment because now I'm thinking of other 'looks'! I know it's a week until Christmas and I'm posting a Father's Day card, but it's just what came to me when I saw the colors. Oh yeah, and don't ask me why everything is on the bottom of the card either! Sometimes I don't realize what I'm doing until it's all done and over! Here is how you can make this same card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Stamp sailboat on cream cardstock, then cut out.
- Trim a rectangle using the blue cardstock.
- With dimensionals, adhere the sailboat to the blue cardstock and set aside.
- Tie twine around card base into a bow.
- Stamp sentiment on yellow cardstock and trim.
- Adhere to the corner of the blue cardstock with a brad.
- Adhere the blue cardstock to the card base using dimensionals.

So last night, I finished the final 25 holiday cards and don't want to make my own! :( I'm not sure if I am or not, but I need to make up my mind today! We played around with a few photo card ideas by taking various photos. Now I see how being a model could be a hard job! The 'photo shoot' took forever and was exhausting. I may send out only a few and then I'll feel at peace...well a little! That leads me to the quick holiday card that I am posting today. I had to make something fast because it is late. I didn't even STAMP! I never tie bows because...they're hard for me! I love tying knots because their easier and use less ribbon (conserve where you can). So, for this card I decided to try a bow and it turned out OK I guess. It took be about 2 minutes to get it somewhat straight enough! hee For a simple card like this, I think it needed it more than that simple knot! The snowman is a sticker embellishment and I added the present sticker embellishment to his arm as well! These sticker embellishments are so fun! Here is how you can make this card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim rectangle to fit the sticker embellishment.
- Adhere sticker embellishment to the red rectangle.
- Matte the rectangle on white cardstock and trim to fit.
- Using dimensionals, adhere the rectangle to the card base.
- Tie ribbon around the card base and into a bow. (Cut a small slit on the left side of the card base to tie the ribbon through the card, IF your card is folded on the left side)
- Adhere glitter alpha stickers below the ribbon.

Hi everyone! It's another Monday, but that means we're closer to Christmas! I'm looking forward to my time off over the holidays! I made over 150 holiday cards this weekend, so I'm tired of the assembly line card making and ready to create something new. So, I decided to sneak in a few minutes to participate in the Loonie Stampers Challenge and couple it with this week's CPS Sketch! So much fun! The colors for LSC were great. I barely use the spring rain, but I did! The sketch was difficult as I find almost all sketches difficult, but I almost followed the template. I still love the double ribbon design, so I use that instead of the curvy line elements. This weekend, I heard some great news that I'll share with you. First, the LSC girls chose my card for last week's contest they were having! YAAAAY! They are a really fabulous group with great challenges and inspiration, so check them out! If you google "Loonie Stamper Challenge" you will find all of the design team blogs (Char, Dee, Wendy, Regan, and Jewels). So, join me one week, will ya? My other big news is that I have three cards that will be published in May 2009 issue of CARDS magazine! YAAAY, my most favorite papercraft magazine! I'm really excited and thrilled because May is my favorite (birthday) month, so it will be definitely a gift when I see them published. Well, have a great Monday and... Here is how you can make this same card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Stamp background image of flower in blue ink, then the overlaying image in brown ink.
- Cut out flower and set aside.
- Punch circle using vanilla cardstock.
- Punch scallop circle using brown cardstock.
- Using dimensional, adhere flower to vanilla circle.
- Adhere circle to scallop circle.
- Trim alpha pattern paper to fit the scallop circle.
- Adhere scallop circle to alpha pattern paper.
- Tie ribbons around center of card base.
- Adhere alpha pattern paper over top of ribbons.
- Trim corner edge in brown cardstock, then adhere using dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment under ribbon.

TGIF! I love Fridays because it's the start of the weekend. I have a lot of things I want to accomplish this weekend, so I am looking forward to it! Today's Fast Friday {Holiday} Card is so simple. I barely stamped, so I was finished in about 10 minutes. The most time took me to decide which embellishments to use and selecting the layout. I found a box full of embellishment stickers my mom got me last year. I remember her saying they were only $1 per pack, so now I'm going to have to ask her where she got them to see what other dollar buys this place may have. I did not think I would have used them, but their perfect for quick cards and to embellish altered paper art! The felt I purchased from Peachy Cheap (my new favorite hangout). It was a pretty decent supply of holiday felt die-cuts and pins for only $12.99. I received them today and was so excited, I had to use them, plus I'm working on a deadline here since Christmas is literally 2 weeks away. I plan to share many more fast holiday cards through Christmas, so please make sure to check back again for some quick ideas and maybe even some holiday blog candy! Create this fast Christmas card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim polka dot pattern paper to fit the center of the card base.
- Adhere felt embellishments.
- Stamp sentiment on red cardstock, then adhere.
- Adhere sticker embellishments.

{insert inside bag} {insert + card} I had to make a sympathy card and needed to insert a gift card as well to give to the family. So, I always wanted to use Dawn's card she made for Mac to give to me for our anniversary for gift card holders, so I cased it. I changed the card layout to portrait and the colors. I think this is such a neat idea because it is a unique card front, plus serves a gift card holder purpose. You could also use the bag on the inside of the card too! Want to make this card...well here is how: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim the top of the glassine bag to fit the front of the card, then scallop edge the top using punch.
- Emboss bag using swiss dots and cuttlebug. I also added brown ink to the negative side (with the logo) to transfer ink onto the bag for a vintage/distressed effect.
- Tie polka dot ribbon around the bag.
- Add crochet flower brad to the knot.
- Adhere bag to the card base.
- Trim brown cardstock to 3.25" x 4.5", then corner round the top edges.
- Apply rub-on to the brown cardstock.
- On the back of the brown cardstock, adhere gift card using two small glue dots.
- Insert brown cardstock into the glassine bag.
- Stamp sentiment on vanilla cardstock. Distress and ink the edges and adhere just above the polka dot ribbon.

It's Hump Day and I'm glad it's almost the weekend. I have a lot to look forward to and hopefully accomplish a lot! This card features colors from K. Werner's Color Challenge. They're not my style at all and I really do not like the card. I should have called it quits this late in the game! I embossed 50 cards tonight, then tried to complete this challenge. What was I thinking? Well, at least I have a birthday card on hand and I also tried stitching too! It's very plain and simple, but you get the point! Busy, busy, busy is how I feel this time of the year. From making holiday cards for others, not to mention our own cards, plus any additional gifts, and holiday shopping. How do I fit it in? I'm trying to finish my card orders this week, so next week I can work on mine. We'll see how this goes because I want to add some non-holiday items to my blog, but somehow, I see that not happening! Bare with me because I feel it may get a little hectic around here! In spite of, it's a great feeling and the holidays are very special, so I'm grateful to work hard for it. Oh, I wanted to share one place with you that I've discovered. It's called Peachy Cheap and boy how it just may be addicting. They feature an item(s) of the day (scrapbook-related) that can be up to 99% off retail price and it is only available for that day. You cannot purchase it later and I've seen that they have sold out before noon on some occasions. I've already placed an order for some holiday felt embellishments that I could not resist (when it's almost over-tell me about it). I hope you don't get addicted, but I think it's hard not to at least check once a day! To create this card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim pattern paper to about 2.5" x 4.25".
- Stamp flowers on card base.
- Stamp sentiment on card base.
- Adhere pattern paper to bottom portion of card base.
- Tie ribbon in a knot around card base.
- Add liquid pearls to flowers.

Mondays are such a drag, but I make the most out of them and am grateful for starting a new week and creating more! We returned back from Raleigh yesterday evening and I even had a chance to make a quick card. I'll share it with you tomorrow. I did get a 45 minute quick stop in Archiver's and I was in my 'glory!' They had a lot of neat ideas showcased and seemed to focus on gift ideas for the holidays, which is right up my alley. I lucked up and found some Making Memories loop trim that I've been yearning, so I bought the remaining 10 yards on the roll! I also picked up a lot of Making Memories embellishments because all Making Memories products were 20% off! I made this special request card for someone who is attending a wedding and wanted to personalize the card especially for them...how sweet! So, she had the idea of stamping their names at the bottom of the card as opposed to "bride & groom" in my cased card here. I also added a pop of red to the flowers as the bride is wearing pops of red. I hope you enjoy your Monday! To create this card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim black cardstock to about 3.25" x 3".
- Emboss names on bottom of card base.
- Emboss cake and cut out.
- Tie silver ribbon into a knot around black cardstock.
- Pop cake off of black cardstock.
- Adhere flowers to cake.
- Pop black cardstock off of the card base.

Hi everyone! It's Sunday, and boy how the weekend flies by. I'm excited because I'm in Raleigh and will get a chance to stop by Archiver's briefly. I'll definitely get some of their pre-scored cards/envelopes because they are just irresistable. This card is using Loonie Stamper's Color Challenge. Obviously, I'm all into this double-ribbon design I've started. But, isn't it just so nice to see all of that ribbon? I really like incorporating ribbon into my designs, so why not two?! To create this card: - Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim purple cardstock to about 3.25" x 4.5", then corner round the edges.
- Stamp sentiment on vanilla cardstock.
- Tie two ribbons into a knot around purple cardstock.
- Add vintage brad to the ribbon.

It's Friday, so I decided to add a new review for everyone. This summer I invested in the Dymo Labelwriter Twin Turbo Printer. It prints labels and stamps. I have wanted one of these machines for a very long time because I hate stopping by the post office. This machine is great because in the comfort of your own home, you can weigh your card, add extra postage if needed, print the stamp, and even a label for the envelope. There are various sizes and colors for the labels. I purchased mine through Image Supply, but other options may be available at this time, such as Ebay or Amazon. It just so happens that when I purchased it, they also offered additional perks, such as a Blockbuster gift card. How it WorksBasically, all you have to do is install the printer to your computer, similar to how you would any other printer. Once the software is installed for the 'hardware' you have to set up an account with Endicia so you can purchase stamps online. When you have your account established, it is easy to add money to your account, then each time you open the Dymo stamp program to purchase and print a stamp, the value of the stamp will be deducted from your account. There are many shipping options available you can purchase and print stamps for, such as First Class mail, Priority Mail, etc. Cost ValueThe cost of the machine is about the price of a very good printer, so it is quite an investment up front; however, once you get over that hump, you realize how easy and convenient it is and that you do not have any more trips to the post office! The only other added costs you have to think about are replinishing your label supply, both for the labels and the stamps to print on. One you DO NOT have to worry about is ink. This was a big seller because we all know ink costs an arm and a leg. Well, this machine does not require ink cartridges, so no costs there! My ExperienceI have had a great experience using the Dymo Twin Turbo Label Printer since the summer. I waited a while, so I would have a valuable opinion to provide. I had some 'technical' issues on my end finding the printer on my computer, but I quickly resolved those 'operator errors.' I purchased a digital scale to use along with the printer, so I would have an idea on whether additional postage would be needed. There are some packages out there that include a digital scale with the printer so they work together (probably a better idea). This printer is highly recommended if you mail a lot of items, especially cards! I hope this helps! I'll probably be back later on this evening to share a card. Have a great day!
Here is a frame that is WAY past due. Yep...late again! The wedding was in October, but I still have this frame. I completed it in September (with intentions of being on time), but I need to make a card to match and throw in a gift card. But, I like sending wedding gifts late because I liked receiving them late. I think you have up to a year to give wedding gifts. Do you think that's weird that I validate my tardy wedding gifts! It's an extra surprise and you get to buy some things you didn't get on your wedding day; plus, it will be like a Christmas gift! Making frames are easy and I think when wedding invitations fit a frame like this, it's a great gift to give because it is a keepsake they would want to actually keep. I'll make a card and share it later. Oh yeah, I smudged the last names for privacy, so if you think parts of the picture are blurred, they are! To make this frame: - Paint wood frame with acrylic paint.
- Stamp flowers in versamark ink, then heat emboss with white embossing powder.
- Add pearls to the stamped image.
- Tie ribbon in a bow around the frame.
- Add a hat pin with beads to the knot in the ribbon.

For K. Werner's Color Challenge this week, it was...well let's say A CHALLENGE. I would never combine most of these colors together. They look nice in the button journal above, but they were quite difficult to work with to create a card. So, when all else fails, I use polka dots because they solve all of my designer challenges! To create this card: - Trim card base to 4.25" x 11", then score at 5.5".
- Stamp polka dots on the brown card base.
- Die cut square in white cardstock and a scalloped square in teal cardstock.
- Stamp flower square in orange ink on white square.
- With dimensionals, pop white square off of scalloped square.
- Tie ribbon around bottom of card base and double the knot.
- Add buttons tied in blue twine.
- Pop the square off of the card base to the right of the ribbon knots.
- Stamp sentiment in brown ink on white cardstock.
- Adhere to side of card.

I have a feeling this will be a long week. I can't wait for the weekend already and it's only Tuesday! Last night, I added many more holiday decorations. I'm almost there, but feel the need to update some of my decor. I hate that because each year they come out with stuff that just puts your decorations from the previous year to shame. Does anyone else feel the same way? So, later this month, I'll try to get some more 'stuff' and see if it goes on sale! This card was inspired by this week's CPS Sketch. This card kind of fell into place because I embossed a leaf image on burgundy cardstock and I hated it, so somehow when sifting through scraps, I came across this polka dot pattern paper and I can't seem to ever turn polka dots down! They fit every time! I think some stitching is missing from this card, but me and the sewing machine didn't get along the last time we hung out, so I decided to leave 'him' alone for a while! hee Instructions - Make card base by trimming cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" then score at 5.5" and set aside.
- Trim brown cardstock to about 2" x 5.5" and adhere to card base.
- Trim pattern paper to a square and adhere to center of the card base.
- Stamp "with" on burgundy cardstock and cut out.
- Stamp "gratitude" on olive cardstock and cut out.
Adhere sentiments to card base. - Tie ribbon in a knot around card base.
- Adhere felt leaf to pattern paper on front of card.

{in a CD case} Last night, I nearly forgot to make my calendar for December. DECEMBER...already?! Boy, how time flies. So, I quickly got out my October Afternoon calendar stamp set and started stamping. I used mostly scraps to create this calendar. I only used new pattern paper for the background. But, I still think it is 'recycling' because it is from last years DCWV mat stack! It was a piece of pattern paper I thought I would never use, so I'm quite happy that it made it's way out of that stack! I stamped the calendar in red ink on white cardstock (not knowing where I was going with my deisgn, in the end I wish I used vanilla). The trees were embossed stamp dies I cut out for a card, but never used, so I was glad to incorporate them here. I also used some poinsetta stamp dies that were in my "maybe I'll use later" pile. The remaining colorful parts are all rub-ons by imaginisce (from last year). Here are links to the October and November calendar. I am supposed to make a scrapbook layout using the calendars (so they will not go to waste after the month is over), but I have not done it YET. But, I think it would be better to do an album a year with all of the months to capture each year. So, this year I would only have 3 months since I started in October, which wouldn't make much of a yearly album. So, I will just do 3 layouts and place them in an album. But, starting in January, I'll create an entire album just with 2009 calendars and events of the month. :: My Goodies {December calendar}::Stamps: October Afternoon-Save the Date (calendar); PTI-Merry & Bright; Stamps in a metal tin (I can't recall) Ink: Cranberry; Versamark Paper: Cardstocks: Kiwi Kiss; White; Red; Spring Moss Pattern Paper: DCWV Christmas Stack (2007) Accessories: PTI- pure poppy topnotch twill ribbon; dimensionals; dew dots; stampendous jewel stickers; imaginisce-jolly jargon rub-ons; scallop punch; heat gun; clear embossing powder Technique: Stamped ; Heat Embossed Card Size: 5.5 x 4.75
