With Sympathy Tag

Today, I decided to share this sympathy card I made this past weekend (for my mom to give). It's very simply style. This design is perfect to finish the card on the inside and the envelope.

Don't forget to answer the poll on the left side of the blog! You have a few more days!

I received my SU! order the other night and really have not had the chance to play with anything yet except my top note die! I have a cuttlebug and risked buying the die to see if it really works. Well, it does! I will make a separate post for it later, but wanted to share the great news for those of you who already have a die machine and didn't want to purchase a Big Shot just to use the dies. You don't have to , just purchase the dies! It went through very easy and die cut perfectly. I'll share the very QUICK card I made using part of the die cut later.

Here's how you can make this card:
  1. Make card base by trimming brown cardstock to 4.25" x 11", then score at 5.5".
  2. Trim white cardstock to about 4" x 5".
  3. Trim brown cardstock to about 3.75" x 4.75".
  4. Heat emboss design with white embossing powder.
  5. Die cut tag.
  6. Stamp sentiment on tag.
  7. Tie ribbon into a bow around brown cardstock.
  8. Tie tag around ribbon.
  9. Add rhinestones.
  10. Matte brown cardstock on white, then white on card base, using dimensionals.

Great Card Ahley. Just wanted to mention really quickly, the Big Shot / Cuttlebug. I too have the CB and not the BS and it does in fact work, except for the Big dies they are a tad to wide to go through the cuttlebug. Just to save you the trouble of finding that out the hard way like I almost did :) I compared that at my upline's house she has both machines.

What a very pretty card. I so want that Top Note die. I need to find a SU demonstrator locally. I have the Big Shot already so that's half the battle. :)

Great card! I want this set badly. :-) I don't want it for the sympathy stuff (because hopefully I won't need it!) but I love, love, love that "vine".
