TGIF! Here's a fast card for you. If you have ever made a 5.5"square card, then you will have a piece of paper this size leftover. Don't waste it...make it a card. It measures about 3" x 5.5" and fits in an A2 envelope. It may not fill the envelope, but it fits in there! Have you all read Paper Crafts magazine new issue for July/August? It's full of great ideas. You have to read the section on how to make cards in $5 and use what you have to make cards. Although we love to buy new supplies, given this day and time, that is not always possible. The great thing about this issue is that it encourages you to continue to create with what you already have or purchase limited supplies for $5 and create something from that. I plan to do a post in the near future featuring limited supplies that I already have in my stash. Oh yeah, in the magazine, there is an advertisement for Card Creations 7 and one of my cards is highlighted in the ad!!! How cool is that?! I recognized my card and wondered how they got it until I remembered it will be published there! HA Can you guess which card is mine? Go check it out! Thanks for visiting me today. I hope you enjoy your weekend! Card Instructions- Make an 3" x5.5" card with dark chocolate cardstock.

This card features a patterned paper as a focal point. I liked it so much that I did not bother adding a sentiment on the front. I left it for the inside (a birthday card). You can do this with all those kits that include matching patterned paper or even use your scraps. Sorry about the short post today, but I'm tired. Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy your day! Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with spring moss cardstock.
- Trim white cardstock into a rectangle.
- Trim strips of patterned paper and apply to white cardstock.
- Add a scallop edge border.

Today, SCS Product Focus Review Team has released another review. Core'dinations is a cardstock with colored cores that you can distress, sand, tear, or retain in its original state. We have a lot of samples you can view here. You can read the review here. I also completed my first tutorial for SCS on crinkling the cardstock. You may see it here. Tell me what you think about it! The card I am sharing today is the card used for the tutorial, so you can read more about it there. :: My Goodies {You Make Me Smile Everyday}:: Stamps: Papertrey Ink - handwritten notes

Happy Friday to ya! It's a holiday weekend, which means fun in the sun. Here's a fast card for you today. I decided to make a rustic-love card. Did it work? I worked backwards when creating this card. I stamped the owl, cut it out, then adhered it. Next, I added the stamped tree limb and the sentiment. Most people would have stamped the tree limb first, then adhered the owl. I wanted to share this with you so you can get an idea of how my cards transform into the product. Most of the time (even if I have a sketch), I work a little backwards, sometimes removing elements to add something here or there. How do you work? Do you work backwards too? Well, I have a great weekend planned with family coming over from out-of-town. So, you know that means...I need to get off of this computer and go straighten, well...clean up! Why do I do this to myself (that is, wait to the last minute)?! Are you a procrastinator? I am, but I try to work on that when I have paper crafting deadlines. We all have a shortfalls, but it's whether we are aware of them and actually try to tackle them one day at a time, right?! Anyway, thank you so much for all of your comments you left me this week. I ended up liking this card way more than I did when I finished it because of your encouraging words. They lift me up and help me to continue crafting, so I thank you! Have a great weekend, be safe, and I'll be back on Monday or Tuesday! Hugs & Kisses XOXO Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with white cardstock.

This card has to be the easiest card ever! This week I have been on a quickie card kick. I hope you are enjoying them as well. Die cutting and embossing are probably some of the fastest ways to create a perfect shape and design. I decided on the four square theme for a child's birthday. I can visualize the number of how old the child is turning on the inside! Just sign your name and mail it! In these tough times, custom handmade cards and other crafts are economically reasonable because the card can be a gift by itself. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Card Instructions- Make an 4.25" square card with summer sunrise cardstock.
- Trim kraft cardstock into a square.
- Die cut 4 stamp shapes in cardstock color.
- Emboss stamp dies, sand, and adhere to kraft cardstock with foam adhesive.
- Adhere kraft cardstock to card front.

This card was inspired by the current Loonie Stampers Challenge. I normally take on the challenge on Sunday, but this week, the challenge was...well...challenging! I did not know what to do! I wanted to use the layout mostly and it was not my usual style, so it was quite difficult. I think I should have just used the colors as inspiration! How do you think it turned out? Sorry, there is no video again. I hope to upload more videos in June. But, I hope you still enjoy the card postings in the meantime. Have a great Wednesday and thanks for your visit. Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with white cardstock.
- Trim core'dinations cardstock, emboss, cut into shape, sand, distress, and adhere.
- Apply stickers and rhinestones.
- Stamp sentiment.

Hey everyone! Last night, I finally got back into somewhat of a groove and made two cards. I can only share this baby card I made, which is inspired by K. Werner's Color Challenge. I thought the colors were fitting for a baby boy card. I created patterned paper by stamping lines at a diagonal. I did not have letter stickers that fit the color challenge, so I stamped some and cut them out. The task of cutting stamped letters is a bit daunting, but is so worth it in the end! I watched the Bachelorette last night to see if I would be interested in the season. I've decided that I am not. I realized that I am not a big fan of dating 30 men at once. I do not think it is healthy or real to be frank. I understand it is a show, but the purpose is supposed to be real. After last season's Bachelor, this has confirmed my position on these dating shows, which is why VH-1 has created spoofs of it, such as Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and I Love New York. It's a JOKE! So, what do you think?! As always, I appreciate your visit to my blog and wish you have a terrific Tuesday! Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with baja breeze cardstock.
- Trim white cardstock into a rectangle, stamp lines at a diagonal and adhere to card front.
- Tie ribbon around card base into a bow.
- Stamp "OH BABY," cut out, and adhere to card front with foam adhesive.
- Die cut star and adhere.
- Stitch buttons.

How was your weekend? I stopped by a bead show on Friday afternoon and picked up a few fun beads for my brother-in-law's girlfriend who makes jewelry and a few for myself too! Later that evening we left for Raleigh for my brother-in-law's law school graduation! He graduated from the same law school I went to, so it was interesting to see how the school has changed and remained the same since my graduation four years ago (WOW...time flies)! At the graduation, I picked up some t-shirts and mugs. We had a great fellowship with family and friends and will reconvene next weekend for my sister-in-law's graduation (yep, another one, but this time it's for her LLM, which is a masters in law)! After returning from our road trip from Raleigh, I ate and hurried to the studio to make a card to share today. It is a quickie, but I know how many of you like those fast cards. My tip for today is to use patterned paper and stamp less when you want to make a card, but do not have lots of time. I'm still not back to my old creative self, so maybe this week that will change (I hope)! So much traveling has gotten me out of my groove. Edited to Add: This card was inspired by Dawn's Color Challenge! Some have asked about our pictures and trip to the Dominican Republic. Our photos were taken by Franco Rigoni, a photographer staffed by a vendor located at our resort. Franco is an outstanding photographer and we could not resist capturing the moments. We stayed at the Grand Paradise Bavaro Resort. They provided great service and had a wide variety of food selections. The rooms were not the best, but we did not go on vacation to stay in a room all day long. The beach and weather made everything worthwhile! We even made friends there. I would love to return later in life, but would try another resort. We heard from other travelers who visit frequently that there is not that much difference in resorts except amenities, so it will depend on your travel expectations. I'm not a fussy vacationer, just happy to be somewhere other than at home and working! I highly recommend visiting the Dominican Republic and call it the new and upcoming Caribbean destination. Enjoy your Monday and I appreciate your visit! :) Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with berry sorbet cardstock.
- Trim flower patterned paper to fit most of the card front and adhere.
- Make scallop edge on white cardstock using slot punch and adhere.
- Tie ribbon around card front into a bow (cut a small slit along score line).

Happy Friday! Here's a fast card for you! It was not so fast for me to put together because I was partying in the Papertrey Ink's Forum for this month's release! However, it is a fast card. I wanted something vintage and lovey dovey, so this is what I concocted! I wanted it to look old, but not ancient, so I did not adhere it completely to the card front. Life is so great and I love sharing it with others. I love all my blog readers and I want you to know! I love my family and friends and definitely Mr. Mac who makes life such an enjoyable ride. Who do you love living life with by your side? Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with berry sorbet cardstock.

Finally, I made my way back into the studio. I was ready, but sluggish. My studio is a mess and I think that is probably a big part of the problem. I wish I could be Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie and wiggle my noise, then voila, a clean studio! Another SCS Product Focus Review was revealed yesterday. Did you get your Weekly Inkling or check SCS web site? If not, I have linked the Stamp !t Kit Review on the left sidebar. Take a peek so you can find out whether you want a kit to make your own stamps!! Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by. Card Instructions- Make an A2 card with berry sorbet cardstock.

Hey there! I'm still not back to my 100% creative mode, so I'm not sharing a video this week. So, I decided to share this card I made a few weeks ago for SCS Product Focus Review of Spellbinders Impressabilities. If you haven't heard of them, they are metal embossing, stencil templates to use in your Wizard, Cuttlebug, Big Shot, etc. I have added a link to all of my reviews (and my teammates) on the left sidebar. Please feel free to take a peek and review each of them. For this card, I inked my impressabilites with ColorBox chestnut pigment ink, then ran it through my Wizard. It gives a great focal point for any card. I decided not to add a sentiment here, but one can easily be added with a tag around the button. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Wednesday. Card Instructions- Trim dark chocolate cardstock to an A2 card.
- Trim aqua mist cardstock into a rectangle.
- Ink Impressabilities and emboss on aqua mist cardstock.

The Dominican Republic was FABULOUS! I highly recommend going if you are ever interested in a Caribbean relaxing beach vacation. I specify the type of vacation because it is for pure relaxation and romance! The beach is beautiful and just may be my favorite. It is super clean with no shells and the water is the most beautiful shades of turquoise and other hues of blues. View some more photos here. Although I do not have a card to share with you today, I do have some photgraphs of McArthur and I that we had professionally taken by our new friend Franco! He's a super duper photographer. It will give you an idea of the land and how much fun we had. We did not take lots of pictures, but I will probably share a few later in the month. I have been trying to do laundry and giving my stressed-out Ozzy much TLC. Long story short, he had a hard time while we were away. He's fine, but will need lots of treats and love over the next few days. We missed our "baby" while we were away and it is obvious he missed us too! Thank you SO much for leaving all of your wonderful comments while I was away. I read them ALL! I've also caught up on my hundreds of blogs too. I may not get to comment on those, but I wanted to let you all know how much I enjoyed and missed reading your blogs and seeing your creations while away. A couple of other "announcements" I'd like to make include that one of my cards was selected on Cath's Moxie Fab World blog while I was away. Thanks so much Cath for selecting my card and for your generous words!! Have you all seen the new May issue of CARDS magazine? I have three cards published in it and would love for you all to take a peek! You may now subscribe to issues online too if you do not have a local store that carries it! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! I know it is a tough job that never stops. I'm extremely thankful for my mother who is beautiful, strong, smart, and everything more! Here is my gift to my mother who LOVES coffee! She has a single-serve Tassimo coffee maker (like me) and enjoys the french vanilla coffee each day. I decorated the coffee mug insert to match the Timeless Templates by Papertrey Ink's Lauren Meader (super duper easy). I'll provide the details later in the week when I return. Oh yeah, and happy birthday to me!!! We're enjoying our vacation in the Dominican Republic!! Thanks to everyone for stopping by my blog last week! I'll try to catch up with all of my e-mails and blogs next week!
Here is another Mother's Day card. Have you every had a few die cuts laying around? Well, if you do, this is a quick way to pull a card together fast. Apply the die cuts to the card and make them your focal point. Here, I had some flower die cuts from my Cricut. I inked them up, popped them off each other, and added a brad. Simple as that and the card is basically done. So have a de-stressed Mother's Day and create a card with something you already have! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend! :) Card Instructions- Trim white cardstock to an A2 card.
- Trim patterned paper into a rectangle and distress.

Happy Wednesday to you! Sorry there is no video this week, but I just didn't have enough time to edit the one I recorded. But, here is a card I made for Dawn's Raspberry Color Challenge. I didn't get a chance to post it in time before the deadline, but I still wanted to share it with you all! I'm using Guidelines 2 again and can't seem to get enough of it. There are so many ways to stamp with it and it's amazing! If you don't have it, I highly recommend it, especially with the guidelines cardstock because that makes it even easier! Hey there! Happy Tuesday to you! I've been dying to make a button frame as a focal point for a card for a while now and decided to try it out last weekend. It took a while to find the right size buttons to fit and also stitch them all to the card front. A quicker project that will have the same impact would be to do it on a smaller focal point, such as a small rectangle with a sentiment stamped in the center or around a circle card front, which is much smaller than an A2 card. Although it was time consuming, it was very soothing to sew these buttons around and in the end I felt like I accomplished this huge achievement! :) I kept the center simple, only stamping a single tree limb and a quote. I hope you like it! Card Instructions- Trim kraft cardstock to an A2 card.
- Trim vintage cream cardstock into a rectangle and adhere to card front.
- Stamp tree limb + sentiment.
- Sew buttons.

This morning, we are prepping and making our way to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! How fun, right?! I'm really excited and have been working really hard on craft projects that required deadlines. Packing is crazy, but it will all be worth it in a few short hours!! I'll try to post some blog postings with pictures throughout the next week or so. But, I'd love for you all to join me on Twitter and follow me here. I can easily make Twitter updates and even add a picture there. If you don't want to join, that is perfectly fine because I have my tweets posted on the left side of my blog here, so check back frequently to see what we're up to! But, don't worry, I have plenty of cards to share as well. Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great day!
