Wedding Wishes


Hey there, Bleeps! TGIF! Quick poll for you all today. Do you like the color purple? I personally think the color is okay, especially for crafting, but I find many paper crafters are disgusted by the color! I thought I'd take a poll to find out the real reason behind why so many crafters dislike this girly color!

This card uses some Cut Cardstock.com cardstock! It's great because although you cannot see it, it has a slight linen texture to it. It's very subtle, yet effective. The design was inspired by Moxie Fab World's plum crazy challenge!

Instructions
  1. Trim card base to an A2 size.
  2. Die cut label and stamp design.
  3. Stamp leaves.
  4. Punch hole through die cut, then tie ribbon into a bow and add pearl.
  5. Stamp sentiment and adhere.

Stamps :: Waltzingmouse - very vintage labels no. 4; Papertrey Ink - giga guidelines, life
Ink :: Papertrey Ink - plum pudding, lavender moon
Paper :: Cut Cardstock.com - purple; Papertrey Ink - white, lavender moon
Embellishments :: Papertrey Ink - plum pudding ribbon; Stampin' Up! - pearl; Kaiser Craft - rhinestone
Tools :: Spellbinders - labels 4 nestabilities; Provo Craft - cuttlebug

    Hi Ashley, I absolutely love your work and am inspired by it daily. About the color purple, I really don't know why I shy away from it with my cards and LO's. I guess being that I used it so much due to my son's high school colors/football LO's. Maybe I will challenge myself with that color now. Thanks

    So pretty Ashley! I love all the different ways you have been using the Very Vintage Labels 4 set. It looks great like this! There's nothing like a deep, dark purple and I'm looking forward to Cath's challenge as well!

    Hi, I like purple. I have actually worked a lot with it this year but I like the darker purples or lilac and I like it when used to create elegant projects (like yours). However I do hate it combined with bright pinks for a girly look. I hate all bright bolds when used together on cards.

    I'm not a huge purple fan either, I mean, I don't hate it or anything, but it's not something I usually reach for. Your card, however, is gorgeous!

    I had never seen this framed stamp to go with the nesties! I love it! I also love the image inside the frame. Beautiful. I am all for purple... and turquoise (2 of my good friends are against both... though I am not sure why!) Dark purple reminds me of royalty!
