Hey Bleeps! Happy Hump Day! We're still snowed in (that's been since Friday afternoon)! We're making it, but I'm getting a bit confused with my days, nights, everything! I'll be happy when spring rolls around! Today, I'm sharing a wedding card using some of SEI's Juliette collection and Heide Swapp bling that I picked up at CHA. Wanna see more? Well, take a peek at the video below! I made a quick video to share with you what I found. I didn't buy much, but wanted to share it with you!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Instructions
Make a 5" square card.
Trim berry sorbet cardstock strip and adhere to card front center.
Trim pink cardstock to about 4.25" square and stamp text background in grey ink, then adhere to card front center with foam adhesive.
Die cut scallop circle and apply circle bling frame.
Die cut circle from patterned paper and pop off scallop circle die.
Stamp sentiments on white cardstock. (TIP: Stamp with grey ink, using stamp-a-ma-jig re-stamp with berry sorbet ink to get two colors)
Hey there, Bleeps! I'm back with a quick card to share with you. This card was finished in about 15 minutes. The longest part was the coloring the flowers. The stamps on this card are all by Hero Arts. I colored the flowers with Copics and embellished with rhinestones. Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Do you have any plans? Let's hear them!
DC Weather Update: We're still snowed in. The federal government is still closed and we're expecting another 10"-20" tomorrow evening and through the night on top of our 30" blizzard from the weekend. I'm not even sure where we'll put the snow that's expected because there is already no more space! The mountains of snow are so high that it makes it very difficult to drive and see past them, which is causing accidents in the area. I'll be stamping tomorrow hopefully and spend my day working from home!
Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your weather, that is if you're not in the DC area!
Instructions
Create a 4.25" square card.
Stamp heart and sentiment.
Color stamped image.
Embellish with rhinestones.
Supplies
Stamps :: Hero Arts - blooming heart + everyday sayings
Ink :: Tsukineko - VersaColor Opera Pink; Copic markers
Happy Monday, Bleeps! I survived the Blizzard of 2010, but the conditions are still a bit grim on the road out there, not to mention the mountain of snow in our front yard that is about 2 feet taller than me! Alright, I know that doesn't mean much since I'm a 'shorty!' But believe me, it's HIGH! Today, I'm sharing my last card as a member of the 2S4Y DT. The last three months have been amazing and I'm grateful to Kazan and Laura for the opportunity to break me from my fear of sketches! I'll miss working with the team and sharing projects with you each Monday. Have no fear, the sketches are always here and you can still find them there. Did I just make a rhyme?! Well, sorta!
This week, we used Sakura pens to embellish our cards. I used my pen to make faux stitching around the card's border. I'm really liking this greeting, "My Dream." It's from the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird collection. I have so many dreams. Some of them have been accomplished, but many more are still out there, ready for me to grab them, experience, and take them as mine. One dream of mine is going to be fulfilled in two weeks. I was going to play a little game, but decided not to. I will share my dream fulfilled with you once it's done!
How about you? Do you have any dreams? Let's hear them!
Before I go, I wanted to share a few cooking dreams come true, really just things that I am really into:
Hey There! I'm back today to share and recommend more publications for you to check out, if you haven't already! These publications are by Paper Crafts magazine team. The first is Stamp It! Cards magazine. I have a few cards published in there, including the anniversary card show above. I also participated in the Stamp it Three Ways column near the end of the magazine. There are a lot of cute, fun, and luxurious cards showcased in this magazine and it has been the talk of the industry, so check it out if you haven't already. You can pick this magazine up at your local bookstore, craft store, like A.C. Moore, or here.
The next publication is A Card a Day and features over 365 cards you can make throughout the year. Trust me, there is a card in this special issue for any occasion. It is a must-have for any crafter. I have 11 cards published in this issue, including the card shown above. This photo is taken from Two Peas in a Bucket website who is selling this publication at a discount, so check it out...NOW! My card is the one of the right, "Be Mine" with the six hearts!
I hope everyone gets a chance to pick up their very own copy and check them out! I'll be back tomorrow with my 2S4Y card for the week and also to start a special game!

Hey Everyone! We're officially SNOWED IN! I'll try to take photos tomorrow and post them for you all to see. Just popping in to share the cards that CARDS magazine so graciously published in their January issue. I was lucky enough to be the Designer of the Month, so four cards were featured in that section. I provided the supplies and/or links to the original posts where more details can be found. If you want more information on the cards, just let me know!
I have not even made anything yet. I've been surfing the Internet all day/evening (after my nap, of course). So, hopefully I can get one card made tonight before I crash into a deep sleep (again)!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Saturday! :) I'll be back tomorrow with another post!
Hey Bleeps! TGIF!! I'm so excited to share with you this vintage-modern wedding card. I can picture this given to one of the Ace of Cakes employees again. I watch way too much Food TV! Anyway, this card is for Caardvarks new challenge...wedding cards and is sponsored by CARDS magazine. Both elements of this challenge make me super happy because I enjoy making wedding cards and also browsing and creating for CARDS magazine. So, each of you should make a wedding card and enter it into this challenge because the winner will get PUBLISHED in CARDS' July issue! Isn't that great news?! I was so excited when I first heard about it and couldn't wait to share it here!
About this card...
Last weekend, I knew I had to make this card for the challenge to share with you all, but as usual I was procrastinating because I "think" I work well under pressure! :) We were snowed in a bit on Saturday and I was watching Extreme Home Makeover. It was a repeat I believe (the one with Mary J. Blige as the special guest). Well, one of the designers added damask wallpaper to one of the rooms. The wallpaper was purple with a gold damask pattern. I immediately said aloud, "That is so pretty. I'm making a card from that!" So, here it is!
Speaking of snow. We're expecting about 20" at least starting today through Saturday. So, I guess I'll be watching more TV, making more stuff, cooking, looking out the window, and napping! This is going to be one long weekend, but a happy one!
Take care and enjoy yourself!
Instructions
Create an A2 card base.
Trim purple paper to fit card front and stamp damask pattern.
Cut purple cardstock into 3 even strips and add stitching, then adhere to card front.

Ink :: Encore - gold; VersaColor - purple

I'll be back tomorrow with a card for the new Caardvarks challenge!

Hey there! Today, I'm not sharing a card because it did not photograph well. It is for my mother. Today's her birthday! Happy Birthday, Mommy! :) She reads my blog via e-mail and usually comments in reply to the e-mail. I really hate the photo did not turn out, but I used some paper that had a foil damask on it and the flash just could not capture it right.
However, I did finish up my photos from CHA and I even created a video slideshow for you to {hopefully} enjoy! The photos are taken for my own personal perspective and not in a report capacity, so do not be alarmed when you see that many are photos of myself with my crafting bleeps! I go to see the product, not necessarily photograph it. But, if you check out your favorite manufactures web sites or blogs, they usually have it posted and you get to see the products in better detail that photos would show, at least that's what I think! Now, I did photograph a few booths. Mind you, this was an extremely last minute trip. I booked it on Thursday afternoon and was flying out about 15 hours later. For the trade show, I was only there for an hour, but boy did I breeze through there fast to see a few bleeps and some amazing booths!
Happy Monday, Bleeps! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I took it really easy and enjoyed the snow on Saturday. Well, I actually did not step foot outside, but I enjoyed food, fire, and movies! I finally made it to my scrap area to create this card for this week's 2S4Y sketch by Kazan. I really like the circle card layout. I made mine into a scallop circle card because I wanted more curves! :) The sponsor this week is KLM Digital Designs. That's right, the bear is a digital stamp! I did stamp the "thanks" on the heart in a traditional way though!
As an update on my CHA photos, I was really thinking about a song to use and finally, it came to me last night! One of my current fun songs to use! So, I hope to be able to finish it VERY SOON! :)
If you like photography, McArthur has been hard at work posting a few of his last creative sessions a bit at a time. You can check out his blog here to view some of his recent posts!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Hey there, Bleeps! I'm missing CHA, so here's a card for all of my friends I saw in California! Miss ya'll already! This card is a 'publication reject!' Sometimes, the cards I submit for publication do not get picked up. The good thing about getting rejected is that I get to still share them here with my Bleeps! Most times when I submit, I get rejections. I am okay with that because I understand that publishers are selective about the projects shown in their publications for a variety of reasons, from color combinations to design elements. It does not mean that the project is not good. Sometimes, a card presented for one publication is rejected, but accepted for another because the it fits a different publication better (this could be the same publisher). I just wanted to share a bit about my publishing experiences. It's a job. I have fun submitting every month. You just have to try.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there, Bleeps! I'm sure you're wondering where my photos are from CHA! They're coming! I like to post something bold and new and that takes time! But, I do have some Valentine's cards to share with you. They will be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Winter is organizing a card drive as well for Texas Children's Hospital. Regardless of where my cards end up, I hope they will make a child smile and forget for a bit where they are. This time, I even finished the insides! :)
Check this out! Erin K. was inspired by my card in Stamp It! magazine and made her own version. It's super cute and I love her take on it! I still can't believe that someone would be inspired by a card that I made. Thanks, Erin for posting!
Since I'm on the topic of Stamp It!, I have a few cards in there and one is the Stamp It Three Ways column! Please check it out because this issue is a definite must-have in your craft magazine stash! You can pick it up at any bookstore with a crafts section or AC Moore!
