Always: Bride & Groom
Using wedding colors, I designed a card and frame for a college friend who recently married. I'm a little late, but hey...these things take time! Wishing them the best in their future. The card base is kraft cardstock. The front of the card is very vanilla. The bottom half has a SU! Sanded image with an overaly of a London Script. A gold ribbon divides the two sections. From SU! Always collection, the heart is heat embossed with red embossing powder, then inked over with gold ink. The heart is trimmed then adhered to a larger red heart that also has gold inking. Three gold dew dots adorn the right side. The sentiment, "bride & groom" is stamped in red/gold ink. SU! hodgpodge hardware is added off of the gold ribbon.
I made the frame first, then the card to match. The frame I painted last weekend in a metallic gold. I thought the newlyweds could add a picture, but then thought about their wedding invite and how it just "MIGHT" fit. Well after checking, I was able to trim it down to fit "PERFECT!" Over the painted acrylic, I stamped the London Script in StazOn brown ink. It is a nice, yet subtle effect. The Always heart is adhered to the bottom right of the frame using the same heat embossed technique as described above. Heide Swapp chipboard letters spell the word always with those same gold dew dots on each side. The gold ribbon found its way around the frame with the hodgepodge hardware dangling off. A few prima flowers with more gold dew dots balance the top of the frame. I hope this will be a keepsake for the new couple!
Congratulations!
