Holiday Blog Candy

Sorry guys, I have no posting for you this morning. I probably will post this evening, so check back later. In the meantime, I do have some blog candy you can sign up for! It's almost time for the holidays, which means paper crafters must get busy on ideas and projects. I am currently designing my holiday cards for this year and will reveal them later this month. So, courtesy of Jacksonbelle Embellishments, I have a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give away! It is Christmas Ornaments and is perfect holiday cards.

Just post a comment on what is your favorite holiday memory or tradition and you will be entered in the drawing. The drawing will close on Thursday night and I will select a winner on Friday morning. Please, only one entry per person.

So, I hope that me not posting my project (that just has not been photographed) ends up being good for you!

I love everthing about Christmas, however, my favorite Christmas tradition is everyone coming over to my Mom's house to eat Christmas dinner. We usually have at least 30 people over, the more the better!

Favorite tradition... Every year my daughter eah get a new ornament to add to the tree. One gets an angel and the other a star. Someday, when they leave our home (boohoo) they will take these with them!

My favorite tradition is our whole family going to Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve in an old mission church built in the 1800's. For the last 10 years they have only had Mass there on Christmas Eve and the rest of the year the church is closed.

Our family tradition is all the family get together the night before Christmas, go to mass and wait until midnight to open gift ~ imagine all the kids waiting to open their kids (meaning BIG kids..LOL!)

My favorite holiday is Christmas and my fave memory was when it snowed on my birthday (a bit too early for snow!) :))

You have a great blog and a collections of beautiful creations! I don't have a favorite holiday but I do like Halloween and Thanksgiving. I love seeing little kids dress up in their costume and ringing the doorbell to ask for treat. I really wish I have a tradition like everyone who leave comments here. It always change every year, so I guess let's just leave it at that.

My family's favorite holiday is Christmas. Traditionally, my family members (four generations), including extended family and friends, draw names around Thanksgiving for gift giving at our annual Christmas dinner held the weekend before Christmas day so that each family can spend the day at home with their immediate family on the 25th. It is a very festive dinner with lots of love, laughter, games and music amongst 50 or more of us.

A new holiday tradition my daughters and I started in 2006 is visiting a local institution such as a homeless shelter, aging center, or housing facility for the sick on Christmas morning and presenting a unique gift that all can share on Christmas morning. To us that's the true meaning of Christmas...giving to those who may not be able to celebrate the holiday in full-spirit for whatever reason. We believe strongly that we are blessed to demonstrate God's gift of compassion and charity as I know it to be...TRUE LOVE! These traditions allow for memorable holidays year-after-year.
