Monday Madness

This is a case of my card here. The request was to replicate the original card, but everyone should know I hate duplicating cards, so I changed one tiny thing to "improve" it. I added paper flowers with pink rhinestone centers. It is kind of like fondant flowers, right?

:: My Goodies ::
Stamps: PTI-Piece of Cake
Ink: SU! Kiwi Kiss; Versamark; Pink
Paper: Cardstocks: PTI-spring moss (green), white
Accessories: pink grosgrain ribbon; MM paper flowers; KaiserCraft pink rhinestones
Technique: Stamped; heat embossed
Card Size: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2

The concept for this card started with something "girly and pink" for a 12-year old. So, immediately I selected one of my many flower stamp sets and stamped three flowers. The background is stamped in pink on green cardstock, then the overlay details are stamped in brown ink. I cut each flower out and popped them off of brown squares, which are also popped off of the card base. All of it is hidden behind a pink grosgrain ribbon. I stamped the sentiment below. I will probably replicate this card because I like its simplicity without the name. But, I was supposed to personalize it for Courtney, so I stamped her name on pink cardstock and cut each letter out to adhere to the card base in a quirky format.

:: My Goodies ::
Stamps: PTI-Garden of Life (flowers); Father Knows Best (sentiment); Michael's dollar alpha stamps
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip
Paper: Cardstocks: PTI-spring moss (green); Bazzill Basics Chocolate; CTMH pink
Accessories: KaiserCraft pink rhinestones
Technique: Stamped
Card Size
: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2

This weekend, I got a chance to play with a new Maya Road tree stamp set that I purchased at Scrapdoodles. I will probably show you later this week. I even used it to start off my holiday card templates. I am getting excited about holiday cards, but also apprehensive about the projected work load! Happy Monday!
