Birthday Sails

This card was inspired by K. Werner's color challenge for the week. I designed this card for my husband's childhood (now adult) friend. Masculine cards are very challenging, but interesting in the end. I repeated the colors a lot and even added some scored lines at the bottom. I like to create a lot of texture in masculine cards. I think that's the trick. So, I added some buttons, distressing, and used lots of foam adhesive.

Thanks for taking a peek! Have a great Saturday!!

Instructions
  1. Trim olive cardstock to 4.25"x 5.5".
  2. Stamp anchor links on bottom of olive cardstock.
  3. Score lines between the anchor stamped links.
  4. Trim skinny strips of brown, blue, red, and orange cardstocks, then adhere on right side of olive cardstock.
  5. Tie twine around olive cardstock.
  6. Adhere buttons.
  7. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock, cut out, and adhere to olive cardstock with foam adhesive.
  8. Stamp sailboat on orange and blue cardstock and cut out.
  9. Adhere sailboat to a square brown cardstock.
  10. Distress the edges of the brown cardstock and adhere to olive cardstock with dimensionals.
  11. Cut a small piece of red cardstock for the flag and adhere to brown cardstock.
  12. Adhere card front to pre-scored A2 card.
