Summertime...and the livin' is easy

It's June, so I decided to share one of my summer-themed cards with you. I made this card a few months ago, which explains the difference in my photography. I used a layering effect and added many elements that were in an SEI accents package that I picked up at one of the local scrapbook stores. However, if you like SEI patterned paper, Michaels now carries a 12x12 pad of it! I picked up a pack of the Dill Blossom line. Maybe I should start using that! :)

As a tip, when using the layering effect, look for empty space that is unbalanced to complete the project.

In the near future, I plan to move my studio to another part of my house to hopefully create slightly more space for my supplies and also use an area of the house where we seem not to go. Does anyone else do that? We typically congregate on the kitchen and family room level. So, we decided that moving my studio to the lower level and keeping one side a second family room would create more usage of that portion of the house. I hope this works out! Mac is happy because he will be taking over my old studio and using it as an office. I hope to start the transition soon, so if I happen not to post something, it is because I am moving and cannot create at the moment. I'll try to post pictures of the transition if I can!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!
