Recycle

Hey Everyone! It's the weekend and I'm so thrilled. So today I wanted to share the other not-so-fast card I made the other night. I was inspired by the Moxie Fab World's, It's All Green to Me challenge. You can see the the challenge pool at Flickr here. There are some great eco-friendly cards out there. You don't have to have a 'green' stamp set, just make something up. I used chipboard letters, metal, twine, and patterned paper - all from my 'old' stash!

Yesterday, as I was posting a "Happy B-day" to my high school friend's Facebook wall, I got the idea that it would be nice to 'send' a card. The problem is I do not have her address. The world has reconnected through social networks and so I thought of a way to use it to my advantage to share my cards. I 'sent' her a card by attaching a photo of yesterday's card! I hope she got the idea, but I think that is such a cool eco-friendly way to send cards. (1) You give a card (2) You save postage (3) You can re-use the card to others. Although number (3) may sound like re-gifting, I think for the social networking aspect it can pass the test. You can also do this with Twitter, by attaching a TwitPic. What do you think? Send a card to your friends you social network with via a photo. Is that corny? :)

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Very cute card! About the bday card, it would be fine, if she didn't send a reply back that she really wanted the card! Hopefully you would still have it! :) I guess it would kind of be like a ecard!

Funny, Ashley, but at my monthly Stamp Club meeting today we were talking about the exact same thing (e-mailing photo of card)! And for someone like me who is often doing things at the very last minute, sounds like a great idea.
By the way, I love your cards. Count me as a fan!
