Embrace Happiness

Hey ya'll! How is it going? I hope great! Have you crafted lately? I made a few holiday cards last night. I wanted to share for the Moxie Fab World challenges, but none seem to really fit the challenge, so I decided not to share those just yet. I will have to make some new cards for the challenges. So, here is a card I submitted for Paper Crafts March/April issue that did not get picked up. It's kind of shabby, but I like it! I used a fabric strip to create the pleated background.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday Eve!

Card Instructions
  1. Trim kiwi kiss cardstock to an A2 card.
  2. Pleat fabric strips, then stitch to secure.
  3. Adhere fabric to card front.
  4. Paint chipboard tree, then adhere to fabric.
  5. Hand-cut leaves, then adhere to tree.
  6. Stamp sentiment and adhere to card front.

I really like this card! The fabric with the pleating as a background is very awesome! I love the leaves too, and thinking about it, I dunn think I could pull of a card like that! Not shabby at all BTW! Yes, I finally stole some time to stamp today, should be studying or reading, something related to school!

That is really cute! I'm surprised it didn't get picked up, too. I love that mag, but sometimes I wonder how they're picking the cards to go in. This one is great -- I love the use of the fabric.

I wonder why this one wouldn't get picked up....? Maybe it's too fallish for MAR/APR or something. But I love it - - and I love the use of fabric too. I have a bucket near my craft table - - need to try this pleated thing you've got goin' on. Thanks for sharing this pretty pretty card.

But it's the "shabbiness" that makes it work, in my opinion. Happy fall card!! :)
