Thank You Birds

TGIF! I'm so happy the weekend is finally here! I love Fridays! I hope to go to the farmer's market in the morning...or maybe I'll just sleep in! Anyway, it seems like we have been on the go this entire summer and weekends where there is nothing to do, I cherish! Aaaahhhh!

I hope to ink up lots of new and old stamps and complete some projects. I'm on major deadlines since I was in Orlando last weekend. Time sure does creep up on you when you are having fun, right?!

I planned on making a fast card today, but just did not feel up to making it. So, I'm sure I'll make it this weekend. It is all sketched out and ready to create. I love it when I get ideas throughout the day. Do get you ideas at odd times of the day? If I can't create, I jot the idea down, typically on paper (I'm kind of old school and rather use post-it notes/pieces of paper), but if I'm out and about, I type it in my Notes App on my iPhone. If you don't do this, try it out! I did not used to do this at all, but then started jotting down ideas and it works! Well, it does for me. Today, a card idea came to me while walking to the restroom. I know out of all places, right?! So, when I got back to my desk I remembered that I had an idea, but forgot what it was. Finally, the idea came back and this time I made sure I sketched it out on paper! Sorry if that was too much information!

Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend! Thanks for stopping by and HAVE SOME FUN! {Live...Laugh...Love}

LOVE your color choices Ash!!! I think you have the right idea! I just purchased a new calendar/planner for my personal life. I used to combine work & personal life into 1, but I've got way too much going on. lol... Anyway, it has a section in the back for jotting down notes. I use it for sketches, titles, journaling, techniques, etc. Love it.

Love the colors and I like what you did with those birds. I know what you mean about time....we dont have enough of it. the day goes by tooo fast. i sometime wish we had 36 hours instead of 24. more time to do personal stuff since we spend most of our days working and not crafting. i swear work gets in the way. haha JK. have an awesome weekend :)

Love the card, Ashley! I had started something similar yesterday and got stuck on it. Now you've given me an idea of how to "make it work." And, inspiration does strike at odd moments and in strange places, doesn't it?! My usual place is the shower. Go figure.

Cute, cute, cute card!!! Love the colors and the birds are fabulous! I'm always comming up with ideas at odd times. Just last night something popped in my head while brushing me teeth, so as soon as I was done I had to write it down or I would forget it. :) I have a sketch book that I keep handy. It's not too much info, glad to know I'm not the only one. Have a great weekend!

LOVE this card, Ash! The colors are awesome together and that one crooked scalloped square is such a cool touch!

LOL, no worries about the TMI! :) I usually have moments of genius right before I fall asleep... And then when I wake up? Can't remember a thing! :)

Well, girly, my ideas sometimes come when I'm IN the bathroom :P You're way motivated than I am. I skip the jotting and I just start grabbing and gluing :P I wish I can sketch and jot and all that. Be more organize ya know, but all my cards are never well thought of. The only thing that makes them look decent is the ribbon... that's why they're in 95% of my cards :P

Cute cute cute card of yours. Love how you used the birdies! I just got some and have not inked them!!!

Super cute card! The birdies are adorable.

I never sketch or dot down card ideas. I probably should. I just keep the idea in my head until I'm ready to work.
