Happy Mother's Day

Hey Everyone! Happy Mother's Day!! I hope all of the mothers are enjoying their day. My mom came by and is STILL resting! :) So, my sister and I made cards for her. I made the first card for Mac to give to her. I posted my card here the other day. My sister, Nichole, made the second card for her. Boy, was this a process and funny the entire time. I assisted her along the way by stamping and making some cuts, but everything else is her design. It's cute, isn't it?!

For my card, I used Claire's Waltzingmouse Roses in Bloom stamp set for the flowers stamped in Papertrey's vintage cream ink on scarlet jewel cardstock. The sentiment is by Impression Obsession, called Word Frames, that I showed in my video here. The vintage lace trim is by Prima and I ruffled/bunched Papertrey's spring moss ribbon using the technique shown here. I added a few KaiserCraft pearls and matted it on Papertrey's rustic cream cardstock trimmed into an A2 card base.

For Nichole's card, she chose the yellow and light gray color palette. Her card base is Papertrey's soft stone. She used Die Cuts With a View La Creme mat stack to try to help me with my patterned paper hoarding stash! She added KaiserCraft rhinestones to a few of the flocked flowers on the patterned paper and adhered it to the gray A7 card base. I helped her stamp the sentiment, "Mother" is from Waltzingmouse Roses in Bloom stamp set and "It's Your Day" is from Papertrey's Women of Life set. She added Papertrey's black twill tape to finish it off. Not too shabby for her second card.

Thanks for your visit! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stunning cards!!!
I have a query though... I tried the ruffing technique in your first card (you had it in a tutorial some time back)... but in time, the ruffles just opened up :-( Is it because the glue on my tape isn't strong enough? Please help.

Hugs from India,
Smita

Great cards girls. I love the striking color combo of yours Ashley and the ruffled ribbon and pearls. So pretty. I like the colors Nichole chose too and bling against the black flock looks awesome.
