Spellbinders Sneak-a-Peeks
Hey there! I know I said I probably wouldn't be able to blog projects over the next few weeks, but I just can't stay away! I LOVE BLOGGING! Whether it's just to share with you all my new camera, food, or things I've been working on - it's so much fun to me!
Today, I thought I should introduce you to Spellbinders™. Let me take you down my little journey! I've owned Spellbinders' die templates since I started blogging, which is over two years ago. When I discovered their products, I HAD to have them ... ALL! So, every pay day, I picked up new die templates to start my collection. I believe my first purchase was for the circle nesties set. Now, Spellbinders' die templates that nest together should only be called nesties when they're in a set, such as the what I previously mentioned; otherwise, they're just nestabilities! :) Then, I picked up some long rectangles, squares, petite ovals, and when the labels were introduced I started on that adventure.
Last year, I so wanted to try out for the design team, but was a little intimidated by design teams in general. Was I good enough? Am I design team material? Can I even keep up with the commitments? All of the questions and more flooded my head and I told myself to just take my time and reconsider the idea again next year. Fast forward a year and boy does a lot happen in one year! I muscled up enough guts to apply. I was so happy to find out I was one of the finalists who would be considered for the 2010-2011 team. We were assigned one final project using die templates, of course! I made my project and sent it on along.
We were due to travel to Thailand on the day we were to find out whether we made the team. I was in LAX eating lunch with McArthur when I saw an odd number pop up on my iPhone! I thought, could it be? I answered and it was Stacey Caron on the other end congratulating me on making the team! I was elated and happy to know my vacation would be more exciting thinking about all of the 'what-ifs' that were filling me head!
So, here are a couple of my first projects as a design team member. Travel on down to "Inspiration Alley" to see the rest of the gallery too! We have a solid team, full of diverse ideas with inspiration to last you a year or more!
Thanks for stopping by today! Take care, ya'll!
