Birthday Bonanza

{Donna Birthday}

Hey there! It's only Tuesday, but I'll be glad when the weekend gets here again! Last night, I had the chance to make two cards. For the first (Donna Birthday), I used CPS Sketch for the week.

Here's how I did it:
  1. Make card base by trimming cardstock 7-11/16" x 8-1/2", then score at 3-7/8".
  2. Trim purple cardstock and pattern paper to fit within the card base.
  3. Stitch around the purple cardstock.
  4. Wrap ribbon around the bottom portion of the purple/pattern paper portion, then adhere to card base.
  5. Stamp label image on whit cardstock, then punch out.
  6. Stamp sentiment on green cardstock, then trim.
  7. Pop curly label off of center of ribbon, then pop off sentiment.
  8. Take chipboard letter and apply glitter glue and glitter. Do the same wit flowers.
  9. Adhere chipboard to card.
  10. Handwrite name on curly label.

{Joey Birthday}

I'm late with this card, but I still remember to make and send it. This is for our nephew, Joey, who turned 16 this month. I know everyone can remember turning 16 and how special that was to finally reach that age. All I could think about was driving!

Here's how I did it:
  1. Make card base by trimming cardstock to 4.25" x 11", then score at 5.5".
  2. Cut a square out of felt, then tie twine around to make it look like a present.
  3. Trim patter paper in a large square to accommodate the present, then cut brown cardstock to mat underneath it all.
  4. Pop 'present' off of pattern paper.
  5. Stitch around the edges of brown cardstock, then adhered pattern paper to it, then to the card base.
  6. Punch a 1-11/16" circle.
  7. Adhere die cut star to the circle.
  8. Stitch button to the circle on top of star.
  9. Adhere Thickers to the circle for the age.
  10. Pop circle off of card base.
  11. Stamp sentiment on orange cardstock, then trim and adhere behind circle and to the end of pattern paper.
