Bon Voyage

Hey there! I'm not going anywhere, but I just made this card and while selecting the papers, I was ready to travel again, so I made a bon voyage card. This card was super easy to create. I'm still not super comfortable with using a lot of patterned paper, but I'm working on it. I had fun creating this card! This card makes me want to travel to Fiji, Tahiti, or maybe even Bora Bora!

Thanks for your visit and have a great day!

Instructions
  1. Trim patterned paper in half then cut fit an A2 card front.
  2. Ink around patterned paper edges.
  3. Add rose trim and ruffle up.
  4. Stamp sentiments, cut out, ink the edges and adhere to patterned paper.
  5. Adhere patterned paper to an A2 card base.
Supplies

Stamps :: PTI - enjoy the ride
Ink :: SU! - chocolate chip; Ranger - vintage photo
Cardstock :: PTI - hawaiian shores
Patterned Paper :: Websters Pages - seaside retreat collection (far & away)

Pack Your Bags

Hey there, Bleeps! Happy Friday Eve! Today, I'm sharing a card with you I made during my adventure on the Splitcoaststampers.com design team. Some people have asked about the inserts of the alphabet letters, such as in the letter a, e, o, p, b, d, etc. I sometimes keep them filled as a personal preference. No, I did not forget to remove the inserts. This is just a way I like to use the alphabet letters. There is no rule. You can keep your inserts included or take them out. I like them inserted some times because you can still see the definition of the letters to make them out and it adds a different texture.

By the way, for those of you who leave questions in the comments on my blog, please leave your e-mail or some way for me to respond to you. If you are leaving a comment as Anonymous, then there is no way I can directly respond. These options; however, will be changing in the near future, but for now I just wanted those who like to ask questions to know that I love responding, but get to a dead end when there is no return method of communication.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your day!

Instructions
  1. Make an A2 card base.
  2. Stamp airplane.
  3. Adhere canvas tag.
  4. Add chipboard letters.

  6. Add faux stitching.

Wedding Sneak Peeks + CPS/Travel Card

Bridal Gown

Bridal Shoes

Mac has been working on processing the wedding pictures. Last night he worked on my set, so I begged him to allow me to share a couple with you! SHHHH don't tell the bride and groom! :) So, I selected the bride's gown and shoes to share with you. Isn't that armoir beautiful? We decided to hang the dress inside of it and somehow it ended up a vintage effect. And the shoes....aren't they sharp? I love that the bride went bold and wore fuschia (or raspberry fizz!) shoes. For the most part, her dress covered them, but every now and then we would get a pop of color and that was fabulous! Don't worry, there are plenty more to come. I just can't believe I took these shots! What do you think???

Now, onto my card. The sketch was inspired by CPS and the colors by Travelingmama's challenge. I like the photos better than this card, so I don't have much to say! HA

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by to let me know what you think!

I'm Baaaaack!

The Dominican Republic was FABULOUS! I highly recommend going if you are ever interested in a Caribbean relaxing beach vacation. I specify the type of vacation because it is for pure relaxation and romance! The beach is beautiful and just may be my favorite. It is super clean with no shells and the water is the most beautiful shades of turquoise and other hues of blues.

View some more photos here.

Although I do not have a card to share with you today, I do have some photgraphs of McArthur and I that we had professionally taken by our new friend Franco! He's a super duper photographer. It will give you an idea of the land and how much fun we had. We did not take lots of pictures, but I will probably share a few later in the month.

I have been trying to do laundry and giving my stressed-out Ozzy much TLC. Long story short, he had a hard time while we were away. He's fine, but will need lots of treats and love over the next few days. We missed our "baby" while we were away and it is obvious he missed us too!

Thank you SO much for leaving all of your wonderful comments while I was away. I read them ALL! I've also caught up on my hundreds of blogs too. I may not get to comment on those, but I wanted to let you all know how much I enjoyed and missed reading your blogs and seeing your creations while away.

A couple of other "announcements" I'd like to make include that one of my cards was selected on Cath's Moxie Fab World blog while I was away. Thanks so much Cath for selecting my card and for your generous words!!

Have you all seen the new May issue of CARDS magazine? I have three cards published in it and would love for you all to take a peek! You may now subscribe to issues online too if you do not have a local store that carries it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Where in the World is Ashley?

This morning, we are prepping and making our way to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! How fun, right?! I'm really excited and have been working really hard on craft projects that required deadlines. Packing is crazy, but it will all be worth it in a few short hours!! I'll try to post some blog postings with pictures throughout the next week or so. But, I'd love for you all to join me on Twitter and follow me here. I can easily make Twitter updates and even add a picture there. If you don't want to join, that is perfectly fine because I have my tweets posted on the left side of my blog here, so check back frequently to see what we're up to! But, don't worry, I have plenty of cards to share as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great day!
