So last night, I finished the final 25 holiday cards and don't want to make my own! :( I'm not sure if I am or not, but I need to make up my mind today! We played around with a few photo card ideas by taking various photos. Now I see how being a model could be a hard job! The 'photo shoot' took forever and was exhausting. I may send out only a few and then I'll feel at peace...well a little! That leads me to the quick holiday card that I am posting today. I had to make something fast because it is late. I didn't even STAMP!
I never tie bows because...they're hard for me! I love tying knots because their easier and use less ribbon (conserve where you can). So, for this card I decided to try a bow and it turned out OK I guess. It took be about 2 minutes to get it somewhat straight enough! hee For a simple card like this, I think it needed it more than that simple knot!
The snowman is a sticker embellishment and I added the present sticker embellishment to his arm as well! These sticker embellishments are so fun!
Here is how you can make this card:
- Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
- Trim rectangle to fit the sticker embellishment.
- Adhere sticker embellishment to the red rectangle.
- Matte the rectangle on white cardstock and trim to fit.
- Using dimensionals, adhere the rectangle to the card base.
- Tie ribbon around the card base and into a bow. (Cut a small slit on the left side of the card base to tie the ribbon through the card, IF your card is folded on the left side)
- Adhere glitter alpha stickers below the ribbon.
Paper: Cardstocks: PTI-pure poppy; white
Accessories: Sandylion Essentials stickers; PTI-spring moss satin ribbon; Making Memories-mini shimmer alpha stickers
Technique: Design/Layout
Card Size: 4.25 x 5.5

So cute Ashley, I love a good knot myself! Bows hate me! :)
the bow is so perfect for this cute card and yes, bows hate me too :)
What a sweet and simple card! I love it, great job. And why is it that bows are so hard? I usually do the knot thing too!
