Mother's Day...January style

I know it's January, BUT, after making this card, I was thinking, "what sentiment should I stamp on the bottom?" For some reason, Mother's Day kept popping in my head, so I stamped just that! Since I did a Father's Day card last month, it won't hurt, right?!

I wanted to use some chipboard bird and tree limbs I got by Maya Road. It was fun to use something different. I had the idea to create the oval focal point. I found the Bo Bunny polka dot pattern paper that just fit {for me, that is}. So, what do you think?

Instructions
  1. Trim pattern paper to 4.25" x 5.5" and set aside.
  2. Die cut oval and scallop oval from pattern paper and cardstock.
  3. Paint tree limb.
  4. Paper pierce (is this the right term for this technique?) the bird using cardstock and pattern paper for the wing.
  5. Adhere limb and bird to oval.
  6. Adhere oval to card base.
  7. Adhere flowers to tree limb.
  8. Add stickles.
  9. Stamp sentiment.
  10. Add brads.
  11. Adhere pattern paper card base to A2 pre-scored card.
