Autumn - 2S4Y

TGIF!! Today's posting is a first for me! I'm participating in 2 Sketches 4 You challenge this week. I love challenges, but sketches are a real challenge for me. I stared at this card forever and asked Mac about it about 5 times. I'm sure he was sick of it! He did help a bit because I moved the twine down just a tad and it made the layout look a little better (to me, at least)!

So, while I was on my way to pick up Macwell (Mac's nickname because people tell him he looks like Maxwell, the singer) and was a bit early, soooooo I stopped at one of my LSS to waste some time! I picked up a few goodies you see used here, like the glitter paper and that felt sticker! I got a few other things too. I may do a video of it, but you all may think that's boring now! Who cares what I buy, right?! Well, I ended up still being early because I had to wait in the cell phone area. So happy Mac is back...big sigh! We talked and talked and talked and talked. Boy, he can talk! Tomorrow is his b-day...OMG I forgot to do a card...seriously as I am typing this it hit me that I didn't make one. I sure hope I have time to sneak one in tomorrow night! Anyway, I was saying make sure to check back tomorrow for a special posting - but of what without a card, silly! I'll do one - I have to because he'll be expecting it that's for sure!

By the way, my card was inspired by Lori Roop on 2S4Y DT! Love your work, Lori!

I hope you have a great weekend! I'm sure we'll be doing something worthy for the birthday boy...I mean man! :) Thanks for visiting!

Simply gorgeous! LOL, I think I have ohhhhh 300 cards in my stash, and yet, I'm always scrambling around at the last minute trying to find something for my hubby. Haha!

a circle on the face of a card can be a challenge for me. I love what you did here.

This is a great card, Miss Ashley. I love that you used eyelets -- don't see those much and I know I rarely use them.
LOL @ you don't have a card made for your husband's birthday. It's like the shoemaker's kids going barefoot - - how can you not have a handmade card for the occasion!?
I love the new goodies videos -- bring it!

So pretty! I love the colors and the felt tree! My daughter's name is Autumn, so I am always drawn to cards with that name on it (and of course, with Winter on it)! :) I think you have a Winner on your hands here!

I love this card, but I know how you feel when it doesn't feel right to you. I love fall, and fall colors. This is just a great card. I also find myself without cards for important birthdays or other occasions. Seems a tad ironic that us cardmakers can get caught up in other things and nearly miss important occasions. At any rate, I'm sure you will come up with something amazing for Mac, and I hope you two have a great weekend celebrating his birthday.

This is so cute Ashley! I always forget to make cards for my hubby. Why is that?? It's not like we don't make cards daily. LOL

I love it! That paper is SO pretty!! Thanks for the encouragement about the cards I had accepted. It really meant a lot to me to know I wasn't the only one! Thankfully I already heard back so now I have to get them in the mail and hope they arrive well. This is totally nerve wracking for the perfectionist in me!!

Congrats on recognition in your first 2S4Y sketch challenge!

And thanks for the blog candy. I used some of it on the card I posted for today: http://showandtellblog.typepad.com/show-and-tell/2009/09/happy-football-day.html
You should recognize the football brads. They were perfect! (But, unfortunately, the game was far from it.) Thanks again!
