Friend

Hey there! I hope you're having a great week. We're still 'snowed in' today! The words "snowmageddon, snOMG, snow over it, and snowverkill" are how we feel in the mid-atlantic region of the east coast. It was a blizzard yesterday. I could not even see the house across the street at one point when I looked out the window. The wind was blowing so hard. I can actually still hear it howling out there now!

Anyway, enough about that snow! Here's a bright and cheery card with flowers on it (since mine are buried in about 4 feet of snow mountains). I added a bit more to the card with cardstock strips on the card front.

I was hoping to share something Valentine's-y with you, but my day in the kitchen was a bit off. Has that happened to you? Where it seems like you just need to leave the kitchen and come back tomorrow? Well, I had one of those days yesterday. I'm hoping to start over today...with a clean slate!

Enjoy your Friday Eve! Thanks for stopping by!

Instructions
  1. Make an A2 card base.
  2. Trim 1/4" cardstock strips and adhere to card front.
  3. Trim yellow cardstock, stamp flowers and sentiment, wrap twine, embellish with jewels.
  4. Mat cardstock on larger cardstock block with foam adhesive, then adhere to card front center.
Supplies

Stamps :: Hampton Art - fab flowers; PTI - in bloom
Ink :: Tsukmeko - VersaColor purple; Clear Snap - chestnut
Paper :: PTI - kraft + lemon tart; Cut Cardstock - purple
Embellishments :: PTI - twine; Kaiser - rhinestones

Oh I love the stripes along the card and the pop of colour in the flowers. I so hear you when you are talking about cooking in the kitchen, Tuesday I really should have stayed out of the kitchen, too many disasters.:)

I'm so sick of the snow... Darn that adorable little groundhog and his evil shadow. LOL

I LOVE your card, Ash! The simple design is rockin', but the colors and the little "extras" really pack a punch!

How did the cookies turn out today? :)
