I'm So Grateful For You

Yes! So happy that it's Wednesday because that means the weekend is just around the corner. You can see it, right?! Well, I have a busy weekend planned ahead of me that includes re-organizing my studio and lots of crafting for some upcoming projects!

Since Becky Oehlers has started her Compose a Card challenge, I've wanted to participate and finally worked up the nerve. Boy, did it take some nerves! I went through two pieces of patterned paper and a few stamps before I finally decided on the layout and design. I thought this challenge was going to be a piece of cake, but for some reason it wasn't! I was truly challenged! I'm used to being inspired by a challenge, but this one is different from others. You have more constraints to stay within, which is good when there is just no mojo out there. I kept forgetting to stay within the challenge, which made my fairly clean and simple design not an easy production process. All the while, I had fun and recommend you heading over to Becky's blog to get involved in a real challenge, that is...if you haven't already!

Thanks for your visit today! Have fun and do something spontaneous, even if it's not your usual route home!

Instructions
  1. Trim vintage cream cardstock to make an A2 card base.
  2. Trim polka dot patterned paper block and adhere onto a spring rain cardstock block.
  3. Tie twill tape around border and add felt scalloped circle with button treatmnet.
  4. Adhere jeweled flourish.
  5. Stamp sentiment.
  6. Pop focal point off card base.

Gorgeous, Ashley! I've seen Becky's challenges as well but they looked a little confusing...will have to revisit them.

I love, love, love this card!!! The soft colors contrast so well with the black. You use those scripty rhinestones better than anyone else I've seen.
