December Calendar

{in a CD case}

Last night, I nearly forgot to make my calendar for December. DECEMBER...already?! Boy, how time flies. So, I quickly got out my October Afternoon calendar stamp set and started stamping. I used mostly scraps to create this calendar. I only used new pattern paper for the background. But, I still think it is 'recycling' because it is from last years DCWV mat stack! It was a piece of pattern paper I thought I would never use, so I'm quite happy that it made it's way out of that stack!

I stamped the calendar in red ink on white cardstock (not knowing where I was going with my deisgn, in the end I wish I used vanilla). The trees were embossed stamp dies I cut out for a card, but never used, so I was glad to incorporate them here. I also used some poinsetta stamp dies that were in my "maybe I'll use later" pile. The remaining colorful parts are all rub-ons by imaginisce (from last year).

Here are links to the October and November calendar. I am supposed to make a scrapbook layout using the calendars (so they will not go to waste after the month is over), but I have not done it YET. But, I think it would be better to do an album a year with all of the months to capture each year. So, this year I would only have 3 months since I started in October, which wouldn't make much of a yearly album. So, I will just do 3 layouts and place them in an album. But, starting in January, I'll create an entire album just with 2009 calendars and events of the month.
