Thanks So Much

Hi everyone! It's another Monday, but that means we're closer to Christmas! I'm looking forward to my time off over the holidays! I made over 150 holiday cards this weekend, so I'm tired of the assembly line card making and ready to create something new. So, I decided to sneak in a few minutes to participate in the Loonie Stampers Challenge and couple it with this week's CPS Sketch! So much fun! The colors for LSC were great. I barely use the spring rain, but I did! The sketch was difficult as I find almost all sketches difficult, but I almost followed the template. I still love the double ribbon design, so I use that instead of the curvy line elements.

This weekend, I heard some great news that I'll share with you. First, the LSC girls chose my card for last week's contest they were having! YAAAAY! They are a really fabulous group with great challenges and inspiration, so check them out! If you google "Loonie Stamper Challenge" you will find all of the design team blogs (Char, Dee, Wendy, Regan, and Jewels). So, join me one week, will ya?

My other big news is that I have three cards that will be published in May 2009 issue of CARDS magazine! YAAAY, my most favorite papercraft magazine! I'm really excited and thrilled because May is my favorite (birthday) month, so it will be definitely a gift when I see them published.

Well, have a great Monday and...

Here is how you can make this same card:
  1. Trim cardstock to 11" x 4.25", then score at 5.5".
  2. Stamp background image of flower in blue ink, then the overlaying image in brown ink.
  3. Cut out flower and set aside.
  4. Punch circle using vanilla cardstock.
  5. Punch scallop circle using brown cardstock.
  6. Using dimensional, adhere flower to vanilla circle.
  7. Adhere circle to scallop circle.
  8. Trim alpha pattern paper to fit the scallop circle.
  9. Adhere scallop circle to alpha pattern paper.
  10. Tie ribbons around center of card base.
  11. Adhere alpha pattern paper over top of ribbons.
  12. Trim corner edge in brown cardstock, then adhere using dimensionals.
  13. Stamp sentiment under ribbon.

Oh wow!! 150 cards in a weekend! You go girl! I get tired of the assembly line kind of cards really quick, too. Haha! I did that for our Christmas cards and I ended up having to take days off from it so I could stay sane. Haha!

I would love to hear more about the Cards magazine. Is that the magazine that is more like a book and with an expensive subscription fee? It looks so tempting, but I would really want to make sure it was worth every dollar first. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Congrats on the cards that will be published! That's awesome!
