It's Monday and a new week! It's still the holidays, so I'm not sure if I'll be back into the swing of things just yet, but I'll sure try. I spent most of yesterday organizing my studio, but have a few more ideas and areas of improvement. One of my biggest ideas I want to do by next weekend is re-organizing my file cabinets to actually use them. I want to organize my cardstocks to place scraps in there to easily find. I might keep the new pieces of cardstock on my paper shelf organizer in the closet, but I need better organization of the scraps when I need to find them and to encourage re-use and discourage waste. I'll let you know how this goes and if I have any good organizational tips!
This card is inspired by Loonie Stamper's Challenge from last week. With the holidays, I was unable to participate, so I did it yesterday. I really like these colors and they scream BABY GIRL to me, so that's what I did! I used a layout I previously did on the "Grateful" card that I LOVE! It seems the cards I like, most others don't and the cards I don't like, most others like. I think that's weird, but in the end, it's just fun making them!
To make this card:
- Take a pre-scored card base and set aside.
- Stamp baby carriage on pink cardstock with brown ink, cut out and set aside.
- Trim brown cardstock to fit baby carriage on it.
- Trim kraft cardstock slightly larger than brown cardstock, but much longer for the ribbon.
- Adhere baby carriage to brown cardstock.
- Adhere brown cardstock to kraft cardstock.
- Tie pink ribbon around kraft cardstock and tie into a bow.
- Adhere kraft cardstock to card base use dimensionals.
- Stamp sentiment below kraft cardstock in brown ink.
- Add pink rhinestones to the baby carriage and sentiment.
Stamps: PTI-bitty baby blessings
Ink: brown
Cardstock: brown; kraft; sweet blush
Accessories: dimensionals; velvet ribbon; pink rhinestones
Technique: Stamped
Card Size: 4.25 x 5.5

I came to the same conclusion that I needed my scraps organized. What I ended up doing was organizing them in those smaller 3-drawer (that fit 8-1/2 x 11 inch) paper and dividing up the colors. So I have a white, blue, green, etc. color drawers for all of my cardstock scraps. This has helped a lot!!
Adorable card! Good luck with your studio re-organization. I have all of my CS on shelves on their sides, arranged by color family. Scraps are in pedaflexes in a drawer right at my crafting table. I always check the drawer first to see if there's a scrap I can use, then go to the shelf to get a full-sized sheet if needed.
